New funding opportunity from the Law Centres Federation aims to encourage Law Centres to recruit, employ and support apprentices

The Law Centres Network Young People’s Programme is offering funding of up to £5,000 to Law Centres to employ and support apprentices. We are looking to fund projects that:

Recruit disadvantaged 16-24 year olds
Offer support to apprentices throughout their time at the Law Centre
Demonstrate how they will support the apprentice on completion of the apprenticeship to seek employment or undertake continued learning
Use this seed funding to set up local contacts and internal systems to make the apprenticeship program a regular part of the Law Centre’s staffing
Seek to increase legal knowledge of apprentices in relation to their employment rights
Please see attached notes, application form and guidance.

Guidance: Law_Centres_Apprentice_Guide.pdf

Please read the guidance before completing the application form. Deadline for applications: 23 July 2012.

If you would like to apply or further discuss a project idea please contact Holly at the Young People’s Programme on 020 7842 0724.
